Saturday, June 2, 2012 - 9:30 a.m.
Old Hickory Village, Tennessee

This is a place out of the past that I'm sure you will absolutely love.  Sorry, can't tell you more, you'll have to see it.  I have never painted here and have no pictures and I'm not sure if we'll be welcome, but I'm trying it tomorrow.  If anyone wants to explore the area with me and my paints, just google "Old Hickory" and look for the Village.  There are lovely old homes along Riverside Drive.  I'll be somewhere in the area.

Directions - From I-40 East
Travel I-40 East past the airport ...
Take the Hermitage Exit #221A (like you are going to The Hermitage) but stay on Old Hickory Blvd.  Continue past the Hermitage and little town of Lakewood, which is now part of Metro.
Shortly after you passs Lakewood, you'll find Old Hickory ...
Veer to the Right at Hadley Ave. (across Old Hickory Blvd. from the Old Hickory Golf Club)
Turn Right at 14th or 13th to Riverside Drive.  Go Left on Riverside.

The whole area is worth painting ...
but please remember this is a quiet neighborhood and we are visitors ....

I know Denise Hawkins and Jim Frazier are coming.  Hope for more adventurers!!

Happy Painting!
