One of our smaller members taking a break!

The views from the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge were so amazing, we are going to paint there again this Saturday. For all of the places we have visited, we could go back a dozen times and still not paint it all.

For those concerned about the "bump" at the end of the bridge, there is an elevator that will take you past that point.

Next Location - Saturday September 3, 2005
Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge. There is a parking lot and street parking on the downtown side at Demonbruen and Third Avenue. I believe there is also parking on the stadium side. 7-10am. See you then, Brenda

Not only was painting in Germantown fun, but some of the residents came out and gave us more information about the area. Evidently the Mad Platter has quite a colorful past.

Next Location - August 20, 2005
Bicentennial Mall State Park. This is located right next to the Farmer's Market. There are some really nice things in the park but also a few places for views of the Farmer's Market and an absolutely great view of the Capitol. We are going to start at the parking lot on the corner of Jefferson and 8th (across from Eckerd Pharmacy). 7-10am. See you then, Brenda

Be sure to click on the Neighborhood Map and Tour link for more info about the area.

We are going to start on 6th Avenue North, near Monells Restaurant. From 40 you will get off at Exit 85 and go toward the State Capitol/Bicentennial Mall. Turn left on Monroe Street and Sixth is just a couple blocks down.

See you there,
Brenda

Painting at the Riverfront was fantastic. We even had a special appearance by the Mississippi Queen. With the boat, buildings and bridges, there was too much to paint in one Saturday morning, so let's return there this weekend.

Next Location: - August 6, 2005
Riverfront Park. Historic and new buildings, Fort Nashborough, bridges, and possibly a riverboat. Parking is available on the street as well as a parking lot. At 7am there is plenty of parking spots available. 7-10 am. See you then - Brenda
