Belle Meade Plantation - Saturday, July 28, 2007

7:45 A.M.


Forgot to mention the time in the earlier post. You can count on this always being 7:45ish, unless we let you know differently. The Plantation does not actually open until 9:00, but we can enter early from the Leake Ave. side, park and walk in. There is normally a fee, but our group will not be charged. Of course, should you wish to tour the Plantation, you will have to pay.

Hope to see you Saturday and that the rain holds off until the afternoon.

We've had several people wanting to paint the Belle Meade area, so what better
than the famous Belle Meade Plantation. This is a favorite spot for painters,
as there are so many subjects.

From Nashville - go SW on West End, which becomes Harding Rd (Hwy 70S) -
Pass Belle Meade Blvd to - 5025 Harding Road

At this location, the sculpture takes precedence however there are also terrific views of the downtown. This may prove to be a challange but also a lot of fun.

The roundabout is located at Division St. and 17th Ave.
