Paint the Snow and Ice on Radnor Lake
The Challenge to the 2nd Annual ......!!!
A couple weeks ago Kevin Menck and Erin Jones painted in the 2nd Annual Radnor Lake Plein Air Freeze Out. They did this last year too, along with Dawn Whitelaw, and it was even colder. (Don't know if Dawn's schedule was too tight this year or she just wised up ??) I think this takes remarkable courage and stamina (a little nuts too) to paint in this kind of weather. But the lake is certainly beautiful and we don't get snow around here often and I feel a real challenge to try it myself. I challenge all the other plein air painters in the area to show up Sunday with me in support of our art. I promise, you will never forget it. (Even if you don't complete a painting, it will be worth seeing the lake with snow and ice.)
Please take a look at Kevin's blog - and the Freeze Out - Erin and Kevin painting at Radnor.

It's been snowing all day, and supposed to again tomorrow, but it will be breezy with no sun. Sunday the snowfall will be gone and we will have some sun all day and very little, if any, wind. The lake should be gorgeous with the sun bouncing off the ice. Come paint or take pictures.
(We'll have to cancel if the roads are icy.)
Happy Painting!
